Baur au Lac has two major fine dining services, the Rive Gauche
Restaurant and Bar and the Pavillon. The former is regarded as
one of the trendiest restaurants in Zurich and displays majestic
interiors with dark wooden tables and leather sofas in mint tones.
Following a “Terre et Mer” theme, head chef Oliver Rais along with
a team of experienced cooks, prepare original dishes with spices
from all around the globe that are accompanied by fine wines and
Martini cocktails.The latter offers an iconic culinary experience
and enthralling interiors with designs like Lalique chandeliers that
highlight the brilliance and glamour of the 20s as well as Art Deco
upholstered furnishings. The restaurant is headed by chef Laurent
Eperon, who is specialised in giving classic haute cuisine, a con-
temporary interpretation. The Hotel has been presented with one
Michelin star. The well-regarded hospitality venue has lodged for
many occasions several household names in the entertainment in-
dustry, such as the late Alfred Hitchcock, Audrey Hepburn, Jayne
Mansfield, and contemporary Hollywood stars like Renée Zellwe-
ger, Richard Gere and Daniel Craig.
