in 1863, the hospitality venue used to be called The Oyster Lodge
and was made of Burmese Teak, corrugated iron and reinforced con-
crete. The Hotel has been restored and extended throughout but the
authentic essence of the hotel has been kept. Providing 86 luxurious
rooms and suites, The Oyster Box combines traditional charm with
modern comfort, meeting the individual needs of each guest. The
rooms are designed in order to offer that home away from home
characteristics that people crave, so whether you are travelling for
business, leisure or family vacations, you are guaranteed to create
eternal memories. Each Grand Villa Loft is decorated with magnif-
icent four-poster king size beds and ample space for guests to feel
at home in legendary luxury. The Presidential suites are separated
into serene and welcoming levels with all the luxuries and comforts
one could possibly hope for, including an intimate personal study.
Guests can also enjoy two lavish marble bathrooms that give unsur-
passed sea views. The suites also have a private rim-flow swimming
pool, a tailored lounge, a gracious dining room for 8 people with

the Presidential has another luxurious bedroom. The Oyster offers
many dining places that produce sublime cuisine by using the fresh-
est seasonal ingredients. The Ocean Terrace restaurant provides
gorgeous views over the Ocean while serving a Bistro-styled menu,
including favourites, like freshly baked pizzas, sustainably sourced
seasonal and perennial meals, like fish and chips. The Terrace has
yet to offer an extraordinary Curry Buffet with authentic Tandoori
chicken. Using delicate hand-blended combinations of spices and
fresh herbs, the extensive selection of Curries includes meat, fish
and vegetarian options. The iconic Grill Room, which has almost 70
years of existence, is under the culinary leadership of Executive chef,
Kevin Joseph. The menu is an awe-inspiring combination of classic
and contemporary dishes, such as the Earl Grey Smoked Salmon
or the Oyster Ravioli. The Spa of the Hotel is secluded in luscious
