Now and as always in the history of MDF Italia,
we see great changes as opportunities.
Our ideas are rooted in the past to look towards
the future with important new developments.
Together with our designers, together with you.
Our projects for the present and the near fu-
ture are an answer to the fast-paced world
we live in – we want to be there. We’re growing:
MDF Italia has recently joined forces with
Acerbis, taking over the group’s furniture brand.
Amongst the most enduring Italian companies
in the furniture industry, Acerbis carries on a
150-year family tradition founded on a design
universe blending functionality and formal
state of the art. We have a surprise in store for
you: we’re modernising our corporate
showroom at headquarters with a project by
the Israeli Pitsou Kedem Architects Studio,
whose many creations (residential and contract
furniture alike) use a language at once strong,
essential and refined. In perfect harmony with
the MDF Italia collection and philosophy, the
studio has designed a dynamic yet cosy ambi-
ence for the new corporate showroom, made
up of interactions between solid volumes and
soft filters measured in space. In continuity
with our creative design, we’re presenting five
new products (the NVL Table, Neil Leather chair,
Random Wood bookcase, Divide IT partition,
20.Venti Home Light desk) in this catalogue, as
well as significantly expanding our selection
of outdoor furnishings (the Rock Table and
Tense Outdoor table, Neil Twist chair, Neil Twist
armchair, Flow Filo chair and Slim, Arpa sofa,
armchair and coffee table).
First and foremost, though, we want you to
become part of us. This supplement describes
the MDF Italia spirit – directed towards change,
starting from our very DNA – with a previously
unpublished story by images from our historical
archives and a chat with some of our best
designers. Because, as we work in great synergy,
our products are what allow us to express our
company values. For us, identity means devel-
oping a path of continuity within an evolving
environment.
