PROJECT //
Designed as a modern and contemporary home, this outstanding
12,000 square-foot Blalock project was a new build where the
studio was pretty much involved right from the beginning,
even in its architectural phase. The clients of this project were a
young couple with two young children. The astonishing house
is located on the main street and the couple wanted the front
entrance on the side of the lot, being configured in an L-shape.
Upon walking inside the front iron door, you step into an
entryway that leads you down to the main family room. This
room has two living spaces: one for the children and another for
the adults. With 21’ ceilings, wood beams, and iron windows
that showcase the outdoor living area, this room is the central
hub. The adjoining dining room highlights a bolder and more
feminine gold chandelier with Swarovski crystals and handmade
butterflies. The unique lighting piece gives a lustrous glow to a
wooden table that can fit 13 people.
The House is also well-appointed with a Polo blue lacquered
library, where there’s also a wine room. The kitchen is rather
impressive thanks to its oversized plaster vent hood. Through
here, you can access the breakfast room, playroom, office, and
the back-stair hall, which lead the way to all the six bedrooms of
the house, as well as the mother-in-law suite.
