FERRO E ACCIAIO
prodotti. In particolare, i prodotti devono essere lavati senza fare ricorso a detergenti aggressivi e devono essere asciugati
rapidamente e accuratamente.
rivenditore autorizzato.
IRON AND STEEL
The tubular metal is passivated internally with protective liquids. The external parts of the structure in tubular metal are
degreased, sandblasted and phosphated with a zinc primer coat, then finished with a polyester powder coat specifically
designed for outdoor use. Some flat parts are instead given an E-coat prior to painting. The parts that rest on the ground are
made of special AISI 314 stainless steel and fitted with ABS insulators.
ALUMINUM
Some parts in aluminum are anodized and colored, while other painted products are degreased and sandblasted prior to
application of a special primer for aluminum and then finished with a powder coat for outdoor use.
PAINTING/POWDER COATING
The powder coat painting process of the metal structures is carried out with an epoxy primer. The primer is a thermosetting
powder coating based on specific cross-linked epoxy resin hardeners, formulated with special anticorrosion pigments.
These pigments contain no chrome or lead. Epoxy resins offer superior physical characteristics and shorter reaction times
than polyester and vinyl ester paints, and therefore command a higher price. Powder coating is for out-door use and this
solution is the best option in terms of the mechanical functions required, stretching, reaction to atmospheric agents
(weathering), and warehousing of treated products. The bush-hammered texture is a aesthetic choice that does not
compromise product durability or maintenance in any way. Minotti offers the following paint finishes: glossy Pewter,
bush-hammered White and Silver-Black. This distinctive effect is an aesthetic choice and does not in any way jeopardize
the durability and maintenance of the products. Cleaning should be done with water and neutral soap, taking care
to avoid marring or scratching the painted surface. Nor should corrosive products be used that could corrode the paint
or alter the color.
Regardless of all the treatments the company applies to prevent oxidation damage, it is important to remember
that any material used outdoors is eventually going to undergo some color fading or molecular changes over time, due to
the weather and to climatic conditions in certain geographic locations (degree of humidity, salt in the air, exposure to
sunlight and drastic changes in temperature).
Proper maintenance of the product is essential in order to significantly slow the processes of weathering. Specifically,
the items should be washed with a mild detergent and should be quickly and thoroughly dried. Avoid allowing water or
humidity to remain in any part of the product and also be careful to avoid any bumps or knocks that could cause scratches
or abrasions, affecting the integrity of the protective treatment applied to the surface. We highly recommend use of our
waterproof covers, in addition to moving the products to protected areas for storage when they are not being used outdoors.
These good product maintenance practices increase resistance to the natural processes of corrosion. Any small scratches
or damage to the painted surfaces can be treated with the application of a rust converter to stop the oxidation process
then retouched with the appropriate paint to be requested to our authorized dealers.
