MILAN COLLECTION
The culture of handcrafted wood paneling evolves into a system: the surface
becomes a design, and the design becomes architecture. The Atelier system,
shown here in Caramel Arc Oak and constructed with an aluminum honeycomb
structure, introduces a bespoke craftsmanship capable of creating patterns that
interact with the space, its proportions, and the volumes within it. These steps
generate an open grammar, giving rise to vertical and horizontal lines, geometric
patterns, and more complex configurations for paneling, cabinet doors, and
passage doors.
The large paneling wall extends seamlessly around the corner, forming a
compact and continuous architectural surface. The 180 cm Bilico door, with
hinges on two sides, is integrated into this structure; it is designed to block the
passage of light and blend into the design with absolute precision.
The angle of the milled pattern accentuates the perception of relief and makes
the large squares appear as elements applied to the surface, amplifying the
depth of the design. The Tailor system thus transforms the wall into a space for
design expression, where the pattern is not decoration but a visual structure
capable of organizing rhythm, passages, and relationships. Doors and openings
become part of the wood paneling’s fabric and integrate into the composition.
The result is an architecture of great manufacturing precision, which evokes
the quality of the paneling found in historic residences and restores order,
rhythm, and identity to the space.
Atelier extends as a continuous surface, incorporates the Bilico door,
and defines the entrance to the Service Kitchen.
