EN Africa’s very first haute couture store,
BUDISM COUTURE, has opened its doors in
Cape Town. In the heart of Cape Town’s central
business district, the studio and showroom are
combined to create a stylish space that brings
together timeless elegance, perfect craftsman
ship and modern art. In addition to the bespoke
gowns created by Budi Adji and Philipp Althof,
the label has now also launched its first
shoe collection. The targeted accent lighting
with excellent colour rendering of CRI ≥ 95
highlights the silhouettes and materials of the
shoes with precision and emphasises their
quality craftsmanship.
The historic building transports you into a
world of the finest couture and is the centre
piece of BUDISM COUTURE. Together with
the architects Peerutin Karol, a concept was
developed that emphasises the architecture in
an unobtrusive way. Each light source should
act as an invisible frame for the couture. With
neutral, uniform lighting at 3000 K and a colour
rendering of CRI ≥ 90, you can truly appreciate
the subtle nuances of the fabric. The result is
the perfect symbiosis of functionality and po
etry: A lighting concept that supports precise
work and at the same time creates a breath
taking atmosphere.

DE In Kapstadt hat mit BUDISM COUTURE das
erste CoutureHaus Afrikas Einzug gefunden.
Im Herzen des zentralen Geschäftsviertels
von Kapstadt verbinden sich Atelier und
Showroom zu einem stilvollen Raum, in dem
zeitlose Eleganz, handwerkliche Perfektion
und moderne Kunst zusammentreffen. Neben
den maßgeschneiderten Roben von Budi Adji
und Philipp Althof präsentiert das Label nun
auch seine erste Schuhkollektion. Die präzise
abgestimmte Shopbeleuchtung mit sehr guter
Farbwiedergabe CRI ≥ 95 lässt die Silhouetten
und Materialien der Schuhe präzise hervor
treten und unterstreicht deren handwerkliche
Qualität.
Das historische Gebäude entführt in eine
Welt feinster Couture und ist das Herzstück
von BUDISM COUTURE. Gemeinsam mit
den Architekturbüro Peerutin Karol wurde
ein Beleuchtungskonzept entwickelt, das die
Architektur betont, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken.
Jede Lichtquelle sollte wie ein unsichtbarer
Rahmen für die maßgeschneiderten Roben
wirken. Mit neutraler, gleichmäßiger Ausleuch
tung mit 3000 K und einer Farbwiedergabe von
CRI ≥ 90 werden die feinen Stoffnuancen im
Atelier sichtbar gemacht. Das Ergebnis ist die
perfekte Symbiose aus Funktion und Poesie:
Ein Lichtkonzept, das das präzise Arbeiten
unterstützt und zugleich eine unverwechselba
re Stimmung schafft.
