MILAN COLLECTION
The Air bookshelf unfolds as a sequence of continuous horizontal shelves
that run across the wall at regular intervals, creating a light and measured
architectural presence. The system combines continuous horizontal shelves
with suspended wall units, forming a composition in which solid and void
elements are in perfect balance.
The shelves, 300 cm long and spaced at a constant 30 cm intervals, form
a continuous structure onto which the wall units are mounted. Their 1 cm
thickness and Ivory Metal Lacquer finish accentuate the precision of their lines,
while the 27 cm depth lends the composition a subtle and controlled presence.
The wall-mounted modules—ten in total and of varying sizes—integrate into the
system, introducing movement and depth. The doors, which protrude slightly
and feature tapered handles in Laccato Metal Ivory, define a discreet detail that
accompanies the act of opening and reinforces the character of the whole.
The back panel in Mineral with a Grey finish creates a uniform, textured
backdrop that highlights the bookcase’s horizontal design and the presence
of the suspended units. Against this surface, the composition appears with
greater clarity and gains depth.
Next to the bookcase is the Key Door, a 4.4 cm thick hinged door finished in
Ivory Metal Lacquer, with door jambs and a wall-mounted frame. The door is
available with a flush handle in the same finish and a matching lock. It integrates
seamlessly into the overall design, maintaining material continuity and formal
precision.
The result is a composition in which the bookcase and door belong to the same
architectural structure: a continuous, balanced, and dynamic system, where the
rhythm of the shelves, the floating volumes, and the uniformity of the backdrop
define an orderly and coherent space.
