Free System
Nel 1973 Claudio Salocchi progetta Free System, un sistema di
imbottiti che nasce dal concetto di “pavimento operato”, ispirato al
tatami, in cui i moduli possono accostarsi liberamente. Un progetto
che interpreta un’idea di spazio fluida e aperta, espressione di una
nuova visione dell’abitare. Moduli angolari, sedute con schienali
intercambiabili, pouf e tatami danno forma a un programma
componibile capace di generare molteplici configurazioni: da isole
che invitano a vivere il salotto in modo libero, versatile e informale a
composizioni lineari o angolari più classiche.
In 1973, Claudio Salocchi designed Free System, an upholstered
sofa system based on the concept of an “operational flooring”,
inspired by the tatami, in which modules can be freely combined.
A project that interprets a fluid and open idea of space, expressing
a new vision of living. Corner modules, seats with interchangeable
backrests, poufs and tatami elements shape a modular programme
capable of generating a wide range of configurations: from islands
that encourage a free, versatile and informal way of experiencing
the living area to more classic linear or corner arrangements.
