WHAT IS LAB?
Zucchetti is attention to design; it is quality and practicality,
no matter the product. The collections in this catalogue, despite
being made for greater affordability, do not imply compromise
in terms of rigour, captivating forms, efficiency or the use of
cutting-edge technology. ‘LAB’, the term chosen to identify
and group these collections, references the themes of
experimentation and innovation found in every decision made
by Zucchetti since it was founded almost a century ago.
The creatives behind all LAB collection items also share a number
of key qualities: the ability to think critically, the capability to
design ‘simplicity’ while never straying into the commonplace,
and a knack for practical, sustainable design.
To them, taking on products meant to be within reach did not
mean sacrificing aesthetics (a value that is undeniably present
in the various collections), thereby creating a dialogue between
many voices that guarantees variety and versatility. The folded,
delightfully contracted segments of On, designed by Nespoli e
Novara, complement the slender lines of Nikko, which create a
captivating interplay of curves, or the essential, clean lines of the
award-winning Brim by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba. Meanwhile, the
cylindrical shapes of Gill find their counterbalance in the decisive,
direct, precise look of Simply Beautiful by Matteo Thun and Antonio
Rodriguez. As a whole, the LAB collections demonstrate that
Zucchetti is able to reach all markets, ensuring
the option to choose between multiple, efficient design styles.
