In the Zanotta world of upholstered furnishings for modern living, Scott, a new series of sofas designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, has been added, which is in keeping with Zanotta’s concern for developing avant-garde furniture. “We wanted some simple, upholstered elements that interacted with accessories, thereby generating new uses,”say the designers, “Complements are integrated into the system creating new ‘satellite’ seating functions. Scott is a sofa designed for informal family life, where the various elements can be arranged to create different combinations; more open for a shared sociability or more enclosed and consequently more individual. We could call it a home within a home.” The seating is low, wide and generous in both the monobloc sofas with pouf, and the straight or angled modular sofas. Compositional integration takes place with small, versatile small tables and bookcase for multifunctional areas of relaxation. Elastic strip suspension with graduated polyurethane/Dacron Du Pont; seat cushions in polyurethane/heat-bound polyester fibre and backrest in 100% new goose feather. Removable cover in fabric or leather. Feet are in polished aluminium alloy or are glossy black nickel-plated. The version with exterior shell covered with leather extra 99 and cushions in fabric, is also available. The Scott furnishing pieces are made from medium density fiberboard with a scratch resistant finish, available shades can be found in the colour card.
