The HEX-O series is distinguished by its combination of lighting systems with soundabsorbing elements. This series has been designed for both ceiling-mounted and suspension lights and is often chosen because of its excellent sound-absorbing qualities for use in spaces with high levels of ambient noise, such as hotel lobbies, open offi ce spaces and conference rooms. The individual lights can be combined with a recyclable EPS body that is traversed with a honeycomb pattern. The balanced combination of absorber and non-woven fabric material reduces noise and thereby guarantees an optimal acoustic insulation. The casing for the lights is made of aluminium; the surface is powder-coated white, grey or black. Mid-power LEDs provide a uniform illumination that can be optionally dimmed with a DALI signal. Thanks to cable hanging elements of up to 2 metres in length, the lights and acoustic elements can be installed without tools. The ability to use single lights and acoustic elements or to combine these elements in a variety of ways – even to create patterns with them – gives the planer or architect a great deal of freedom to design with function and aesthetics in mind.
