The A-Table is one of the purist designs that brought Maarten Van Severen to fame and became his trademark. The table is distinguished by its symbolic shape and carefully balanced proportions. The name A-Table refers to the characteristic A-shaped position of the table legs. The first A-Tables were made as early as 1992 in Van Severen’s furniture workshop. The top of the A-Table is surfaced with a layer of easy-care linoleum. In a patented process, the table top is fitted with an edge made from the same material to produce the monolithic appearance sought by Van Severen. The uniform look is further accentuated by the table legs in black powder-coated tubular steel. Linoleum is a traditional material made from natural components and known for its durability.
