The Aluminium Group chairs have long been considered one of
the greatest design achievements of the 20th century. They
were originally created in 1958 for a private residence in Indi-
ana, USA, with a light, stable construction unifying material
with aesthetics. At the time Charles and Ray Eames rethought
the hard seat of tradition chair construction, electing instead to
stretch robust but soft cloth or leather between stabile alu-
minium frames. Every element of the chair communicates the
highest quality of craftsmanship and material. The unmistak-

trusive and utterly classic.
