Appassionato di fotografia e di elaborazione digitale Astolfi sperimenta la
combinazioni tra l’immagine e diversi materiali come legno fossile, cristalli,
madreperla, pietra naturale e acciaio. La ricerca più recente lo avvicina al
trattamento pittorico della materia utilizzata rendendo labile il confine tra
unicità dell’ opera “gioiello” e la sua replicabilità.
Passionate about photography and digital processing, Michele Astolfi
experiments the combination between image and different materials such
as fossil wood, crystals, mother of pearl, natural stone and steel. The most
recent research brings him closer to the pictorial treatment of the used
material, making the border between the uniqueness of the “jewel” work and
its replicability blurred.
