VERPAN announces the launch of FUN 0 DM/DA, a special anniversary edition of one of Panton’s best selling lamps, exactly 50 years after the initial launch of the FUN series in Cologne in 1964.
Composed of loosely joined hanging discs, FUN balances graphic design, sophisticated luminescence and thoughtful thermodynamics to create a playfully stylish take on lighting that is pure Panton. The mother of pearl version (DM) transforms the natural material’s translucence into a subdued and fascinating light. The polished steel version (DA) takes on an entirely different look of scintillating luxury. They both provide an ever-changing visual display as the light bulb’s heat radiates to set off an ever-so-subtle movement of the discs.
The special anniversary model, FUN 0 DM/DA, adds a extra “storey” of discs on a fourth ring – making it slightly larger than the smaller brother FUN 1 DM/DA. The additional discs – approximently 40% – bring even more grace to FUN’s characteristic profile.
