Ambitions is a compact, yet light and elegant desk designed for making sure your work space stays free from clutter. Stylish and minimal, Ambitions has been designed with functionality in mind and contains hidden draws and compartments to keep your wires, papers and other items out of sight.
At just one metre across, the Ambitions desk is able to comfortably fit into smaller living spaces. Exploring the interplay between materials of wood and powder coated steel, Ambitions has rounded edges and details that give the furniture a soft Nordic feel.
Despite its thin profile, Ambitions has a wide central drawer just the right size for hiding away your laptop, mouse or papers when you are finished for the day. A concealed compartment at the back of the desk stores chargers, wires and extension cables while still providing easy access to electricity. There are even specially designed legs for hiding electric cables running to the charging compartment.
The eye-catching design feature of Ambition’s slim tapered wings conceal two compartments that can be easily accessed for storing notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers and other smaller office items. The powder coasted steel of the wings also makes them suitable for attaching memos with magnets or even using a wipe off marker.
With no wires on show, the result is a seamless desk with a thin minimal profile that celebrates tidiness. Attractive enough to stand there with nothing on it or styled with a single desk lamp. The Ambitions desk can be enjoyed anywhere in the room as it looks good from all angles, making it also suitable as a small kitchen table. Its also perfect for hotels or anywhere a smaller desk or table is required.
Jonas Søndergaard, Designer: “I wanted to design a desk with as clean and smooth a look as possible. The drawers have been hidden underneath to create a seamless desktop. The biggest goal was to get rid of all of the ugly wires that are always there when you have a desk. Removing the clutter helps you clear your mind and be more productive. If you are lacking space, optimising the space that you do have lets you focus on the work at hand. Ambitions actually creates space by making room for all of those extra bits and pieces you accumulate around your desk!”
