From a portion the whole, from a
detail the name: Fold is the first
creation by 967 Architects for True.
A sofa with two faces: the soft one
for the seat and the architectural
one for the backrest and armrests.
Raised from the floor thanks to a
tubular metal base with shaped
legs, its wooden body appears even
more solid and light despite its
consistency. Like a sheet of paper,
the wooden sides bend, contrasting
the apparent rigidity of the material,
to accommodate the ergonomic
sinuosity of the upholstery.
The family consists of 7 variants: a
three-seater sofa with two different
depths (82 and 100 cm), a two-
seater sofa with two different
depths (82 and 100 cm), an armchair
with a depth of 82 cm, an armchair
with a depth of 100 cm and an
asymmetrical dormeuse with a
depth of 100 cm. The characteristic
fold of the wooden shell determines
not only its name, but also the
technological and ergonomic
research for its realisation.
Da una porzione il tutto, da un dettaglio
il nome: Fold è il primo nato di 967
Architetti per True. Un divano a due
volti: quello morbido per la seduta e
quello architettonico per il fondale di
schienale e braccioli. Sollevato da terra
grazie ad una base tubolare in ferro
con gambe sagomate, la sua scocca
lignea appare ancor più materica e
leggera seppure nella sua consistenza.
Come un foglio, i fianchi in legno si
piegano contrastando l’apparente
rigidità del materiale, per accogliere la
sinuosità ergonomica delle imbottiture.
La famiglia è composta da 7 varianti:
divano a tre posti con due profondità
diverse (82 e 100 cm), divano a due
posti con due profondità diverse (82
e 100 cm), poltrona con profondità 82
cm, poltrona con profondità 100 cm e
dormeuse asimmetrica con profondità
100 cm. La piega caratteristica della
scocca in legno ne determina non
solo il nome, ma anche la ricerca
tecnologica ed ergonomica per la sua
realizzazione.
