Das Besondere an der Leuchte ist, dass die Glaskugel aus zwei
Elementen besteht. Während die obere Hälfte ätzmatt ist, präsentiert
sich die untere Hälfte weiß glänzend. Dadurch entsteht ein subtiler
Kontrast, der sich besonders gut für designaffin eingerichtete
Privaträume, aber auch für repräsentative Geschäftsräume eignet.
The special thing about the lamp is that the glass ball consists of two
elements. While the upper half is etched matt, the lower half is glossy
white. This creates a subtle contrast that is particularly suitable in
design-conscious private rooms, but also in representative business
premises.

1927 wurde diese Leuchte von Marianne Brandt entworfen und war
bereits damals so beliebt, dass sie in Serie produziert wurde. Diese
Variante ist ein Modell mit einer Halterung und Kette aus poliertem
und zaponiertem Messing oder vernickeltem Messing.
This lamp was designed by Marianne Brandt in 1927 and was so
popular even then that it was mass-produced. This variant is a model
with a bracket and chain made of polished and zaponized brass.
