COLOMBO and 1953 by Lorenzo Bini
In these consoles designed by Lorenzo Bini, modern and contemporary works are cap-
tured by a marble slab in an irregularly shaped plane. A few details are enough, and the
designs already defined in the lines traced by Jean Arp and Gianni Colombo take on a
new expression. Three legs, created through the juxtaposition of four slightly offset
strips of the same marble, support the tops and are a great homage to the art of these
artists.
In queste consolle firmate da Lorenzo Bini, opere moderne e contemporanee vengono
catturate da una lastra di marmo in un piano dalla forma irregolare. Bastano pochi,
scarni dettagli e i disegni già definiti nelle linee tracciate da Jean Arp e Gianni Colom-
bo assumono nuova espressione. Tre gambe, realizzate attraverso la giustapposizione
di quattro listelli leggermente sfalsati dello stesso marmo, sostengono i piani e un gran-
de omaggio all’arte di questi artisti.
