NEW SHAPES FOR DESIGN
Located on the top foor of Palazzo Brusarosco -
Zaccaria in the historic centre of Vicenza, Casa Gallo
was designed in the 1960s by the architect and designer
Carlo Scarpa. Very high spatial quality and natural
light are the building blocks of the project. The large
central room is a sort of “square”, as Scarpa himself
defned it, in which light refects off the stone foor,
creating refections that are always new.
Situata all’ultimo piano di palazzo Brusarosco –
Zaccaria, in pieno centro storico a Vicenza, Casa Gallo
fu progettata negli anni ‘60 dall’architetto e designer
Carlo Scarpa. L’altissima qualità spaziale e la luce
naturale sono gli elementi costitutivi del progetto. Il
grande ambiente centrale è una sorta di “piazza”, così
la defnì lo stesso Scarpa, in cui la luce si rifette sul
pavimento in pietra creando rifessi sempre inediti.
