Lumen | Leuchtkraft
Was früher die gute alte Watt-Angabe war, sind
heute Lumen. Diese Zahl ist sogar viel genauer,
denn sie gibt an, wie viel Licht tatsächlich von
einem Leuchtmittel abgegeben wird. Die Watt-
zahl ist bei modernen LED Lampen deutlich ge-
ringer, da sie viel sparsamer und effizienter sind.
Trotzdem ist bei vielen LEDs auch die äquivalen-
te Watt Angabe auf den Verpackungen zu finden
um eine Umrechnung leicht und anschaulich zu
machen!
Kelvin | Farbtemperatur
Je nach Farbtemperatur hat die Beleuchtung
unterschiedliche Eigenschaften und Auswirkun-
gen auf den Menschen. Von gemütlich warm
und entspannend bis hin zu anregend und wach
machend.
1800-3500 Kelvin | Warmlicht
3500-5300 Kelvin | Kaltlicht
ab 5300 Kelvin

CRI | Farbwiedergabe
In manchen Bereichen spielt die Farbwieder-
gabe-Eigenschaft der Beleuchtung eine große
Rolle, z.B. in Verkaufsräumen, Gastronomie usw.
Sonnenlicht und Glühlampen erreichen einen CRI
(Color Rendering Index) von 100, was bedeutet,
dass alle Spektralfarben bei gleicher Verteilung
vorhanden sind und Gegenstände in der korrek-
ten Farbe natürlich wiedergegeben werden. LED
Lampen haben aber kein durchgehendes Spekt-
rum und erreichen den Maximalwert nicht. Mit
vielen technischen Finessen und Tricks können
sie aber heranreichen. Je höher also der angege-
bene Wert, desto besser die Farbwiedergabe des
beleuchteten Objekts.

Lumen | Luminosity
What used to be the good old wattage is now
lumens. This figure is actually much more accu-
rate because it indicates how much light is actu-
ally emitted by a lamp. The wattage of modern
LED lamps is much lower because they are much
more economical and efficient. Nevertheless, the
equivalent wattage is also indicated on the pa-
ckaging of many LEDs to make conversion easy
and clear!

colour
temperature,
lighting has different properties and ef-
fects on people. From cosy, warm and re-
laxing
to
stimulating
and
awakening.

CRI | Colour rendering
In some areas, the colour rendering property of
lighting plays a major role, e.g. in salesrooms,
gastronomy, etc. Sunlight and incandescent
lamps achieve a CRI (colour rendering index) of
100, which means that all spectral colours are
present with equal distribution and objects are
rendered naturally in the correct colour. LED
lamps, however, do not have a continuous spec-
trum and do not reach the maximum value. With
many technical refinements and tricks, however,
they can come close. The higher the value, the
better the colour rendering of the illuminated
object.
