“Site restrictions can be opportunities for
design innovation! In this case, mouting
was limited to 2 rails on either side of the
atrium. To create something interesting
and dynamic between these rails we used
the weight of the faceted crystal ball hung
off center strategically on each strand to
pull the strands slightly to one side or
the other creating sail like volumes and
dynamic curves through the space. Spot
lights were installed around the atrium
to bring some brilliance to the crystal.”
