Quality control and certifi cation:
Our furniture is subjected to painstaking and
rigorous quality control at every stage of pro-
duction.
Once all quality controls have been passed, a
branding iron is used to mark the article with
the Salda trademark (to guarantee its origi-
nality and protect the consumer) and given a
unique number which is stamped on the piece
itself and on its accompanying certifi cate of
quality. It is also recorded in the company’s
archives, so that the fi rm can always track the
detailed origin and manufacture of every single
article it creates.
Customization:
The products shown in the photos can be cus-
tomized in point of size, materials, colour and
surface fi nish or covering – though we shall of
course need to assess the feasibility of such
requests.
Products made to special measurements and/or
fi nishes may cost more, and might take longer
to deliver.
Whenever a customer asks for a customized
piece we will draft a construction design and
submit it for approval; we decline all responsi-
bility, however, for any impairment of the fi nal
piece’s looks or proportions due to modifi ca-
tions which have been requested and approved.
Upholstery and coverings:
All upholstery is made using traditional craft
methods (webbing straps and springs).
Upholstery is subject to a certain degree of wear
over time due to settling or crushing of the
materials used.
Seat cushions and back cushions are feather-fi lled.
The extra-large seat cushions on some models of
divan have a rubber insert sandwiched between
feather layers above and below.
Fire-retardant upholstery can be provided on
request.
Fabric measurements given here are calculated
for 140cm widths in solid colour with two-sided
fi nishes using the same covering fabric.
A fi nishing trim can be added on request. Unless
otherwise specifi ed the trim will be chosen to
suit the fabric.
Proper cleaning and maintenance:
Salda products should only be cleaned with
a soft cloth or natural bristle brush. Do not
use detergents or other chemical products
which could damage the varnish or paint-
work.
Wood, fabric and leather may change colour
on exposure to direct sunlight, or to exces-
sively warm or damp conditions.
Protected trademark:
Salda Srl is the owner of its trademark, and will
take legal action to protect its distinctive signs
whenever potentially harmful behaviour comes
to its notice.
All Salda products are 100% made in Italy from original designs, drawings and models kept by
the fi rm for many generations and reinterpreted over the years.
Pieces by Salda are unique, meticulously hand-worked from natural materials using environ-
ment-friendly techniques.
This craft method of manufacture means that no two Salda pieces will ever be exactly the
same: minor variations or shadings should be regarded as an enhancement which confi rms
their unique quality.
Wood is a living material, and can therefore move a little with the passage of time. Any direct
or indirect exposure to temperature changes, humidity, sunlight, water, inevitably produces
swellingor cracking of the wood.
