Matchless, characteristic, recognisable: the German Design Award 2016-nominated Rolf Benz 580 armchair makes a statement with its unique language of form. The striking wooden frame made from oak or walnut is inspired by the aesthetics of the art of paper folding, origami. The upholstery, accentuated with decorative seams, is inspired by orinuno, the Japanese art of fabric folding.
Rolf Benz 580 sets more than just visual standards. Even with a low back rest, the new original offers luxurious seating comfort. And even more comfortable is the high-backed version coupled with the matching footstool.

The wooden frame consists of solid wood. Since wood is a natural growing raw material, there are always naturally occurring differences in colour and texture from one leg to another. Every single finished piece of wood is unique.
The high-grade materials used are tested in accordance with DIN and RAL directives and subject to long-term testing. The foam materials used in our upholstered furniture are produced free of fluorochlorinated hydrocarbons.
