We are making fundamental changes to reduce our impact.
There’s still a long way to go but we are taking further steps
every year though the work of our Green Team.
Our commitment to responsible design and British Made
goes hand in hand with our sustainability goals. We make
80% of our products with British craftspeople and on the
occasion that we do import from overseas, we reduce our
impact by shipping instead of air freighting as well as offset
all our packing.
We think it’s right to highlight where we can improve, and what

Responsible
Design
Everything we make has an impact on
our planet. That’s why we work to be as
responsible in our design as we are serious
about our craft.
We pride ourselves on creating products that are built to
last and when they do need some care and attention we will
restore them to their original condition.
Our talented team of artisans can also adapt any piece, old or
new. Whether that’s changing the finish, switching the flex or
swapping a shade we can transform an existing lamp.
There are some changes a refurbishment can’t fix. On those
occasions, we will happily accept your existing lamp in
part-exchange for something new. In return, we will give you
a credit note valuation or if you prefer, we can donate to our
preferred charity, SOS Africa.
The Upcycling
Club
We established The Upcycling Club in
2020 to offer complete restoration of your
favourite Porta Romana pieces as part of our
refurbishment and part-exchange service.
