Descrizione: prende il nome dalla città di Marquina, vicino a Bilbao, dove viene tradi-
zionalmente estratto. È un marmo di colore nero profondo e intenso a grana finissima,
picchiettato da piccoli residui fossili bianchi e percorso da venature bianche, grigie o beige
più evidenti, che talvolta virano al un verde tenue. La struttura venata a distribuzione
irregolare è la caratteristica principale che conferisce al materiale un aspetto elegante e
distintivo.
Manutenzione:
Finitura poliestere opaca o lucida. La finitura poliestere impedisce alle sostanze corrosive di
penetrare velocemente nel marmo. Se si rovesciano sul piano di marmo trattato al polie-
stere sostanze acide è sufficiente prendere uno straccio, una carta o una spugna e pulire
con acqua o un detergente neutro. Eliminare la polvere con un panno morbido per non
graffiare la superficie.
Description: it takes its name from the city of Marquina, near Bilbao, where it is traditionally
extracted. It is a deep and intense black marble with a very fine grain, speckled with small
white fossil residues and crossed by more evident white, gray or beige veins, which sometimes
turn to a pale green. The irregularly distributed veined structure is the main feature that gives
the material an elegant and distinctive appearance.
Maintenance:
Matt or glossy polyester finish. The polyester finish prevents corrosive substances from
penetrating quickly into the marble. If you pour on the polyester treated marble top acidic
substances, it is enough to take a cloth, paper or sponge and clean with water or a neutral
detergent. Remove dust with a soft cloth to avoid scratching the surface.
