In the Novecento sofa. Roberto Lazzeroni combines classic elements from the Poltrona Frau archives with contemporary aesthetic solutions.
While the rounded shapes of the backrest and armrests are in keeping with tradition, the workmanship has been simplified. The leather surfaces do away with the ruffles of the past to become smooth and clean. The volumes are minimalist and soft at the same time. The Novecento sofa is an elegant addition to rooms of the most diverse design and style.
The spring system of the seat, consisting of double cone steel springs that are hand-tied and attached to jute webbing, calls to mind some of Poltrona Frau's historic seats. The supporting frame is in seasoned beechwood. The armrests are padded with moulded polyurethane foam and the backrest with polyurethane foam and goose down. Upholstery in Pelle Frau® Heritage, Nest, Soul or Century ,leather or Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System. The front feet can be equipped with swivel castors in chrome-plated brass and are made from dark walnut stained beechwood, like the back feet.
The Novecento collection includes the 2-seater and 3-seater large sofas, in addition to an armchair.
