Il daybed porta all’estremo la tecnicità
del meccanismo, lo mette a nudo senza
compromessi, ne fa elemento estetico
grafi co e asciutto completamente a
vista. Il complesso sistema di leve
e snodi rende il movimento veloce e
preciso. Basta impugnare la maniglia
sotto la seduta spostandola verso il
basso e poi tirare verso l’esterno la
barra sul retro: il meccanismo si schiude
a compasso, posizionando Vertigo nella
confi gurazione letto.
The daybed brings the technicality
of its mechanism to an extreme, baring it
without compromise to become a dry and
aesthetic element which is completely
exposed. The complex system of levers
and joints makes its movement fast and
precise. Simply grasp the handle under
the seat and push it down, then pull
out the bar on the back: the mechanism
unfolds with a pivot motion to arrange
Vertigo in its bed confi guration.
Le divan-lit porte à l’extrême la
technicité du mécanisme, le dépouille
sans compromis, en fait un élément
esthétique graphique et sec entièrement
visible. Le système complexe de leviers
et d’articulations rend le mouvement
rapide et précis. Il suffi t de saisir la
poignée sous le siège et de la déplacer
vers le bas, puis de tirer la barre sur
l’arrière vers l’extérieur: le mécanisme
s’ouvre en compas, mettant Vertigo en
confi guration de lit.
Das Daybed treibt den technischen
Aufbau des Mechanismus auf die Spitze,
es legt ihn bloß ohne Kompromisse,
es macht ihn zu einem ästhetischen
Element, das grafi sch rein ist, und sich
vollständig off enbart. Das komplexe
Hebel- und Gelenksystem ermöglicht
eine rasche und präzise Bewegung. Es
genügt, den Griff unter der Sitzfl äche
in die Hand zu nehmen, nach unten zu
schieben und dann die Stange auf der
Rückseite nach außen zu ziehen: Der
Mechanismus öff net sich zirkelartig und
bringt Vertigo in die Bett-Konfi guration.
