Art Center
The Taipei Performing Arts Center, designed by
OMA, interprets the concept of sustainability
with a precise mission of inclusivity. Located in
Shilin Night Market, a popular and vibrant area
of Taipei, it integrates street life into the theatre.
It is an innovative and extremely flexible
building, both in the concept as in the shape.
It’s made by a spherical Globe Playhouse with a
capacity of 800 seats; 1500-seat Great Theatre;
and a Blue Box seating 800 people in the
central cube.
