The Ham seat and back are in crushproof polyurethane
foam offering constant support, for perfect posture
during concerts. The back of the seat is unusual, in
curved black lacquered wood, a material that helps to
achieve the required acoustics.
Poltrona Frau and Nagata Acoustics International
have collaborated to achieve optimal acoustic
performance. Every single seat at the
Elbphilharmonie is positioned at a maximum
of 30 metres from the musicians, guaranteeing
a remarkably engaging auditory experience.
