colours and tone-on-tone or contrasting
patterns. Since 2018, the Brand has col-
laborated with American designer and silk
expert Jim Thompson and with historic
textile company Pierre Frey in the selection
of velvets. The collaboration with Loro Piana
Interiors, which has studied colour families
and ad hoc fabrics, continues to grow closer
and more fruitful. The world of textiles also
represents an authentic tool for the sartorial
composition of environments following the
stylistic code and elegance that distinguish
Poltrona Frau.
Sensory research in fabrics is naturally
expressed by the coordinated night accesso-
ries. A discreet presence, with subtle details
made of fi ne materials such as cotton, linen
and silk, products through which high crafts-
manship joins the design of precious yarns
for absolute comfort, even when resting.
Produced by masters of Italian weaving, the
coordinated night accessories enhance the
sensory aspects of each thread with chro-
matic and material eff ects made possible
by the jacquard looms that go beyond the
fashions of the moment.
Just as Poltrona Frau, in its long company
history, has skilfully interpreted the themes of
comfort and tailoring in well-rounded envi-
ronments, it now applies its ability to refl ect
the needs and aspirations of contemporary
living to the outdoors. Outdoor furniture that
is characterised by continuity with the inte-
rior, by well-being and harmony, created to
evoke emotions and atmospheres that tune
our frequencies to those of nature. Although
each has their own stylistic signature, the
collections interact with each other both in
their complementary functions as in their
colours and materials, and they are further
enriched by a wide series of accessories, such
as cushions, rugs, baskets and side tables. The
theme of ambient lighting refl ects craftsman-
ship and the ability to create lighting scenes
for the outdoors as well: lamps complete the
space and, beyond their decorative aspect,
help defi ne a habitat.
Poltrona Frau’s catalogue of indoor and
outdoor products is substantial, versatile
and capable of interacting with the multiple
styles of contemporary living. It is a true
system, freely combinable, that leaves space
for personal choices of furnishings capable of
shaping environments with a harmonious and
warm image, Mediterranean style and Italian
savoir vivre.
