The Fuksas studio began its professional
activity in 1967 with the opening of its fi rst
offi ce in Rome. It achieved great notoriety
in France, where in 1989 a second studio was
opened in Paris with Doriana Mandrelli. A
third studio was opened in Frankfurt in 2002.
The activity of the Fuksas studio is followed
by various schools according to an interna-
tional multidisciplinary profi le: architectu-
re, art, urban planning, landscape and, since
1997, design, the latter being led by Doriana
Mandrelli Fuksas. Among the studio’s most
recent and famous projects are the new
Rho-Pero Fair in Milan, the Zenith Music Hall
in Strasbourg and La Nuvola Congress Center
in Rome. With Poltrona Frau, they are also
developing the BiBi seat, with a high-tech
element that opens and closes like a shell.
