Il celebre pianista canadese Glenn Gould
era talmente affezionato al suo sgabello
da pianoforte personale, in realtà una
vecchia sedia adattata dal padre ai suoi
particolarissimi criteri di seduta,
al punto da rifiutarsi di suonare senza.
E proprio allo sgabello da piano del
grande musicista si è ispirato Roberto
Lazzeroni per disegnare Glenn, un
comodo pouf che può essere utilizzato
indifferentemente anche come panchetta
o poggiapiedi. In realtà era stato
concepito proprio come tale, a naturale
completamento della nuova poltrona
2019. La seduta, in morbida Pelle Frau®,
è infatti arricchita da una lavorazione
manuale che riprende quella sullo
schienale della poltrona, quel capitonné
ormai simbolo della perizia artigianale e
della qualità del marchio Poltrona Frau.
La personalità, la grande armonia e
l’equilibrio nelle proporzioni hanno reso
Glenn un elemento d’arredo autonomo e
versatile, che si inserisce con facilità in
ogni ambiente, da solo o in abbinamento
ad altri mobili.

his father adapted to his own highly
idiosyncratic seating requirements” that
he refused to play without it.
And it was the great musician’s piano
stool that provided Roberto Lazzeroni
with the inspiration to design Glenn, a
comfortable pouf that can also be used
as a bench or footrest. In reality, it was
deliberately designed this way, acting
as a natural complement for the new
2019 armchair. In fact, the soft Pelle
Frau® leather seat is enriched with
handmade detailing identical to that on
the armchair’s backrest, the capitonné
processing that has come to symbolise
the quality and artisan expertise of the
Poltrona Frau brand. Glenn’s personality,
great harmony and balanced proportions
make it an independent and versatile
item of furniture that is at home in any
setting, whether on its own or combined
with other furnishings.

aimait tellement son tabouret de piano
personnel, en fait une vieille chaise
adaptée par son père à ses critères
d’assise très spéciaux, qu’il a refusé de
jouer sans lui.
Et c’est précisément le tabouret de
piano de ce grand musicien qui a inspiré
Roberto Lazzeroni pour concevoir Glenn,
un pouf commode qui peut aussi être
utilisé indifféremment comme banc ou
comme repose-pieds. En fait, il avait été
conçu comme tel, comme un complément
naturel pour le nouveau fauteuil 2019.
L’assise, en cuir Pelle Frau® moelleux,
est en effet enrichie d’un travail manuel
qui reprend celui réalisé sur le dossier
du fauteuil, le capitonnage qui est
devenu le symbole de la qualité et du
savoir-faire de la marque Poltrona Frau.
Sa personnalité, sa grande harmonie et
ses proportions équilibrées ont fait de
Glenn un élément de décoration autonome
et polyvalent, qui s’intègre facilement
dans toutes les pièces, seul ou bien en
combinaison avec d’autres meubles.

persönlichen Klavierhocker, der in
Wirklichkeit ein alter Stuhl war, den
sein Vater an seine ganz speziellen
Sitzkriterien angepasst hatte, dass er
sich weigerte, ohne ihn zu spielen.
Und am Klavierhocker des großen
Musikers inspirierte sich Roberto
Lazzeroni bei seinem Entwurf für
Glenn, einen bequemen Pouf, der
sowohl als Sitzbank als auch als
Fußbank verwendet werden kann.
In Wirklichkeit wurde er als solche
konzipiert, als eine Art natürliche
Ergänzung zum neuen Sessel 2019.
Die Sitzfläche aus weichem Pelle
Frau®-Leder wird nämlich durch eine
manuelle Verarbeitung bereichert, mit
der die Capitonné-Verarbeitung auf der
Rückenlehne des Sessels aufgenommen
wird, die mittlerweile Symbol der
handwerklichen Fertigkeit und der
Qualität der Marke Poltrona Frau ist.
Die Persönlichkeit, die große Harmonie
und die ausgewogenen Proportionen
machen Glenn zu einem autonomen,
vielseitigen Einrichtungsobjekt, das
sich mit Leichtigkeit in jedes Ambiente
einfügt, alleine oder in Kombination mit
anderen Möbeln.
