Scolpita in marmo bianco di Carrara,
la ciotola Pura è una riedizione in
esclusiva per Poltrona Frau della
versione in cristallo disegnata nel 1988.
Le minuziose variazioni di spessore
danno risalto alle venature del marmo.
La luce penetra diversamente nelle zone
più sottili e più spesse, valorizzando
trasparenza e opacità del materiale.
L’equilibrio tra vuoti e pieni determina
la forma asimmetrica della ciotola, che
appoggia naturalmente su un solo lato.
Il marmo è lavorato a controllo numerico
e poi levigato a mano, dandogli la
fi nitura semilucida che ne preserva
l’aspetto naturale. Sulla parte inferiore
della ciotola una targa circolare in
ottone fi nitura Ruthenium riporta
incisi la fi rma del Maestro e il marchio
Poltrona Frau.
Sculpted from white Carrara marble, the
Pura bowl is a new edition of the crystal
version designed in 1988 produced
exclusively for Poltrona Frau.
The minute variations in thickness
enhance the veins of the marble. Light
penetrates the thinner and thicker
parts of the piece to diff erent degrees,
emphasising the transparency and
opacity of the material. The balance
between volumes and voids determines
the asymmetric shape of the bowl, which
naturally rests on one side. The marble
has been produced by numerically
controlled techniques and then
smoothed by hand to achieve the semi-
smooth fi nish that preserves the natural
appearance of the material.
On the bottom of the bowl, a circular
brass plaque in a Ruthenium fi nish bears
the signature of the Master and the
Poltrona Frau logo.
Le bol Pura, sculpté dans du marbre
blanc de Carrare, est une réédition
exclusive pour Poltrona Frau de la
version en cristal conçue en 1988.
Les variations d’épaisseur minutieuses
soulignent les veinures du marbre.
La lumière pénètre de façon diff érente
dans les zones fi nes ou les zones plus
épaisses, en valorisant la transparence
ou l’opacité de la matière. L’équilibre
entre les vides et les pleins défi nit la
forme asymétrique du bol, qui repose
naturellement sur un seul côté.
Le marbre est usiné par commande
numérique, puis poli à la main, ce qui
lui donne une fi nition semi-brillante qui
préserve son aspect naturel.
Sur la partie inférieure du bol,
la signature du Maître et la marque
Poltrona Frau sont gravées sur une
plaque circulaire en laiton fi nition
Ruthénium.
Die Schale Pura ist aus weißem
Carrara-Marmor gemeißelt und stellt
eine Neuaufl age der 1988 entworfenen
Version aus Kristallglas dar, die exklusiv
für Poltrona Frau angefertigt wird.
Die minutiösen Variationen der
Materialdicke betonen die Maserung
des Marmors. Das Licht dringt an den
dünneren und dickeren Stellen auf
unterschiedliche Weise durch und
unterstreicht damit die Transparenz
und Mattheit des Materials.
Die Ausgewogenheit zwischen Voll und
Leer bestimmt die asymmetrische Form
der Schale, die naturbedingt
nur auf einer Seite aufl iegt.
Der Marmor wird mit Maschinen mit
digitaler Steuerung bearbeitet und
dann von Hand geschliff en. Dadurch
erhält er sein Halbglanz-Finish, welches
das natürliche Aussehen bewahrt. Auf
dem unteren Teil der Schale befi ndet
sich ein rundes Schild aus Messing mit
Ruthenium-Finish, auf dem die Signatur
des Meisters und die Marke Poltrona
Frau eingeprägt sind.
