Lyra appare per la prima volta
interamente in pelle nel catalogo
Poltrona Frau del 1934, come variante
di un modello precedente con cuscino
in velluto del 1916, che si chiamava
Lira. Anche nella replica del 1934,
caratterizzata dallo schienale
arrotondato e rifi nita da una fi la di
chiodini rivestiti in pelle, si riconoscono
i caratteri formali del salotto vittoriano,
con seduta profonda, braccioli comodi
e uno spesso cuscino in piuma d’oca,
molto confortevole. L’imbottitura
in crine gommato è poggiata a mano
sulle molle biconiche in acciaio
del molleggio di sedile e schienale.
La struttura è in faggio stagionato.
Rivestimento in Pelle Frau® del
ColorSphere®, in pelle Heritage, in
pelle Soul e in pelle Century. È inoltre
possibile l’abbinamento di pelle e
tessuto rivestendo in Pelle Frau® o
Heritage la scocca e in tessuto i cuscini
della seduta.
Lyra made its debut as a full leather
article in Poltrona Frau’s catalogue of
1934, as a variant of Lira, an earlier
model (from 1916) that had a velvet
cushion. The 1934 replica still sported
a rounded seatback and fi nishing by
means of a row of leather-covered nails,
which were the formal traits of Victorian
living room furniture, combined with
the other comfort-making features of
these armchairs: deep seat, comfortable
arms, a plush cushion fi lled with goose
down. The padding of rubberised
horsehair is applied by hand onto the
biconic steel springs of the seat and
back springing. The structure is made
of seasoned beech wood. Upholstery
is available in Pelle Frau® leather from
the ColorSphere®, in Heritage, in Soul
and in Century leather. The upholstery is
also available in Pelle Frau® leather for
the structure and in fabric for the seat
cushions.
Lyra a fait ses débuts comme article tout
en cuir dans le catalogue de Poltrona
Frau de 1934, en tant que variante
d’un modèle précédent (de 1916) avec
coussin en velours, qui s’appelait Lira.
Dans la réplique de 1934, caractérisée
par le dossier arrondi et la fi nition avec
une rangée de petits clous gainés de
cuir, on reconnaît les traits formels du
salon Victorien, avec l’assise profonde,
les accoudoirs pratiques, et un
coussin profond en plumes d’oie, très
confortable. Le rembourrage en crins
de cheval caoutchoutés est appliqué à
la main sur les ressorts biconiques en
acier de la suspension de l’assise et du
dossier. La structure est en hêtre sec.
Le revêtement est en cuir Pelle Frau®
ou en tissu.

Katalog von 1934, als eine Variante
eines früheren Modells namens Lira
mit Samtkissen aus 1916. Auch in der
Replik aus 1934 mit abgerundeter
Rückenlehne und einer Veredelung durch
eine Reihe von lederbezogenen Nägeln
erkennt man die formalen Merkmale
der viktorianischen Wohnzimmermöbel
mit tiefer Sitzfl äche, komfortablen
Armen und einem sehr bequemen, mit
Gänsedaunen gefüllten Plüschkissen.
Die Polsterung aus gummiertem
Rosshaar wird von Hand auf die
bikonischen Stahlfedern der Sitz-und
Rückenfederung aufgebracht.
Die Struktur besteht aus abgelagertem
Buchenholz. Der Bezug ist aus Pelle
Frau®-Leder oder Stoff .
