Poltrona Frau
Poltrona Frau Custom Interiors provided 200 Thea
seats designed by the same architectural firm,
Foster + Partners.
The Thea chair has a solid beech frame; the backrest
and seat padding are in non-deforming fire-resistant
polyurethane to ensure maximum comfort; the
spring system includes elastic belts and automatic
tip-up seat thanks to the steel counterweight. For
this project, the seats were fully upholstered in faux
leather (Skai Palma), with three varying widths for
ideal layout and audience sightlines.
Thea has a compact and balanced design, with
contained and comfortable volumes, while
guaranteeing an ideal ergonomic posture.
The Norton Museum of Art, together with Foster +
Partners and Poltrona Frau create an amazing trio,
where art meets architecture joined by the most
beautiful design.
