The Times series was created to
highlight Poltrona Frau’s propensity for tech-
nological experimentation in the processing
of natural materials, where innovation lends
itself to tradition. Therefore, leather, the
company’s material of choice, was used
as a structural and functional part of the
design, exploiting its mechanical and elastic
capacities. Leather blends harmoniously
with wood in the bed and in the armchair
with pouf, giving rise to a flexible, resistant
and light structure. Soft cushions in the
headboard of the bed and in the backrest
and seat of the armchair embrace and blend
with the supporting part thanks to folds and
stitching that recall luxury leather goods.
The cushions, as well as the various parts of
the structure, can be disassembled because
they are secured to the structure by means
of hidden hinges and snap buttons. The up-
holstery is available in Pelle Frau® leather or
in a fabric free from forest-sourced viscose
and the wooden structure is FSC® certified,
further underlining its ecological vocation.
The series is therefore characterised
by top-quality workmanship that is never
superfluous, making the products recognis-
able and respecting the Brand’s heritage.
The name itself evokes an aesthetic figure
and an identity the Times font, whose typo-
graphic design shares the same sharpness
and impact.
