«Poltrona Frau’s products are the result of a
sophisticated synergy between industrial and artisanal
processes. In this way, it is always possible to obtain
a margin of imperfection, of uniqueness, which
makes the products more “human” and capable of
transmitting a gentler feeling. During my collaboration,
I wanted to combine some traditional processes, such
as plissage and capitonnée, with the idea of ‘elegance’
that is linked to the world of women’s fashion.
It is precisely the reworking of this concept that led
me to an essential design and a timeless object.»
