The Montera collection of seats now
features chair, small armchair and stool
versions along with Mas, the padded version.
Montera is characterised by a seat shell with
an organic and sinuous profile that follows
the body, and by side wings in the backrest,
which widen and lengthen to become an
enveloping support. They are seats with a
hidden technical complexity and a design
that recalls twentieth-century references.
The Montera series was born from a complex
ergonomic study that started from the
structural resilience and weight to define the
shape, sinuous and soft, but never bashful. It
is an industrial product with artisan details
and finishes, such as the unique design of the
stitching on the profile and on the back.
Its shape can accommodate the varia-
tions in types. In the small armchair, the
backrest is lowered for a more relaxed seat,
and the characteristic side wings expand to
become enveloping armrests; in the stool,
the back is reduced in size while maintaining
the sinuous shape; in the latest padded
version for the dining table, Montera Mas,
the chair has been given an increased volume
of upholstery for greater comfort without
betraying the original design.
The series lends a strong decorative
presence to rooms by virtue of its ability to
elegantly and personally interact with the
most diverse styles, even in terms of colour
and of the upholstery, available in leather,
saddle-leather or fabric.
