The name of the design studio introduces
what it is all about: “note” means notice
and being noticed. “We like to draw
attention to the things that surround us”,
explain the designers of Note, “and create
objects that produce the same intention
in the observer”. Note Design proposes
a personal and sophisticated interpretation
of Scandi design heritage, ofering a new
take on the minimalist style that has made
Nordic design famous with a style that
reveals the influence of Southern Europe
design. Note Design’s projects have
distinctive expressive details that translate
values and sensations into an emotional
language that clearly defines the identity
of the object with immediate impact.
Note has designed Embrace for Pianca,
a bed with a light, slender features
celebrating union and intimacy. A soft,
curvy design defines the shape of the
headboard that creates a protected
space in which to seek refuge.

— Q&A
— What makes you happy as a designer?
It makes me happy to see the studio’s
new designers executing ideas that
I could never have imagined on my own.
— What is your biggest fear?
‘Things’ frighten me, in the sense of banal
objects and meaningless gadgets
produced for no particular reason apart
from putting another object on the market.
— What are the three essential qualities
that a good object must have?
A design object must serve the purpose
it was designed for. It’s simple. Both the
designers and the manufacturer must
make choices without losing sight of
the original purpose.
— Is there a designer who you admire?
The Bouroullec brothers come to mind
and Design Studio Lievore Alltherr Molina.
As for past masters, I would say Vico
Magistretti, Achille Castiglioni and Lina
Bo Bardi.
