This seat has a light and gentle soul—within a cover of concrete protection. Queen is a small piece of architecture that is designed for private and domestic use in both indoor and outdoor settings, yet it is suitable for public places as well. Cement is a common material of contemporary everyday life, yet it is unusual for domestic furnishing—this is the challenge our designers took on and handled brilliantly.
The majestic Queen multiple seat is made in a limited edition applying the technique of feather cement, which makes the cement lighter then usual yet maintains its massive strength and unique aesthetic. This piece was exhibited at the Area Pacis Museum in Rome, on the occasion of the show "The Farnesina Palace and its collections", 19 May to 3 July 2011.
