PAOLO CASTELLI SPA presents the first two artworks of the project "Janus" by the artist Gunilla Zamboni.
The collection starts with two decorative wings representing Janus, the roman god that symbolizes symmetry and ambivalence.
The works "Janus – Past and Future" and "Janus – Present, here and now" that were axhibited at Salone del Mobile, are a mosaic of concrete titles in different shapes, colors and patterns.
The artist has embedded in the mosaic a copper wire , the precious metal that characterizes the 2013 Paolo Castelli interior design colletion "Inspiration".
The two art design works "Janus" represent the multiple dimensions in the relationship between human beings and time: Past, Present and Future. The shine of copper combines with the texture of concrete to produce a surprising effect of contrast, perfectly matching the entire interior design collection.
