Le case histories rivelano uno scambio continuo tra l’ambiente
e il prodotto, dove le lampade di Oluce danno forma agli spazi
in cui vengono inseriti e contestualmente sono plasmate
dalle esigenze degli spazi stessi. L’hotel Hotel ME Milan Il
Duca rappresenta un esempio di questa sorta di osmosi
estetica e funzionale, mostrando come una cascata di Kin di
Francesco Rota riesca a trasformare un’area di passaggio in
una stupefacente scenografia. Al tempo stesso le esigenze
dell’ambiente influenzano il prodotto, dando vita ad oggetti
personalizzati o completamente nuovi come la lampada
Duca. Questo progetto è stato infatti pensato dal designer
Nicola Gallizia per essere inserito nel restyling del ME Milan
Il Duca e studiata nell’illuminotecnica e realizzata da Oluce
attraverso il servizio Bespoke Tailoring. La lampada, battezzata
Duca proprio in onore del luxury hotel milanese, è stata poi in
questo caso inserita tra le proposte a catalogo dell’azienda.
Case histories reveal a continuous exchange between the
setting and the product, where Oluce lamps shape the spaces
in which they are placed and contextually adapt to fulfil the
needs of the spaces themselves. The Hotel ME Milan Il Duca
is an example of this type of aesthetic and functional osmosis,
demonstrating how a cascade of the Francesco Rota-designed
Kin successfully transforms a transit area into a spectacular
setting. At the same time, the needs of the setting influence the
product, giving rise to personalised or brand-new objects such
as the Duca lamp. This project was created by designer Nicola
Gallizia as part of the Hotel ME Milan Il Duca restyling process
while the relative lighting technology was designed and
manufactured by Oluce through its Bespoke Tailoring service.
The lamp, christened Duca after the luxury Milan hotel itself,
was in this case subsequently included as part of the product
range in the company catalogue.
