In the Brewhouse project in Kilkenny, Ireland, the large
multi-floor lobby is adorned with an impressive light
sculpture. This installation consists of circular sections
arranged as broken rings, creating a striking visual of a
futuristic tunnel. These rings are suspended vertically from
each other, forming a continuous yet segmented design
that reaches down 5.5 meters (18 feet) with a diameter
of 4.4 meters (14.4 feet). The suspended rings provide a
captivating centerpiece, blending modern aesthetics with
functional illumination.
Each section of the light sculpture is carefully crafted to
maintain uniformity and balance, ensuring that the overall
structure remains visually cohesive while providing ample
lighting. The vertical arrangement of the rings creates
a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the
architectural features of the lobby.
