to express themselves, and drawing was one of the � rst means of human
communication. Drawing is hugely important to children, both in terms
of communication and of personal emotion. Art is an excellent antidote
to tension. In the society we live in, unfortunately, children have to deal
with stress: drawing helps children to alleviate some of their tensions and
worries and it acts as a release valve for the more restless, but also for shy
kids, as it can help them express what they cannot say out loud.
