Allegria, tristezza, rabbia, paura e calma: ogni emozione ha un
proprio colore. E per ogni colore esistono moltissime sfumature come
per gli stati d’animo. Ma se lo chiedi a un bambino è il giallo il colore
dell’allegria, dell’energia contagiosa che splende come il sole e brilla come
le stelle. La tristezza è blu come il cielo a sera o come l’oscurità del mare
con il suono delle onde che cullano i pensieri. Il rosso infiamma la rabbia
che divampa come il fuoco. Il nero fa paura come il buio. Torna la calma
con il verde sinonimo di pace, tranquillità e benessere che si prova in
natura in un giorno di primavera. Ogni bambino porta dentro di sé questi
colori e impara a distinguerli e a esprimerli liberamente grazie all’aiuto
degli adulti. Il racconto, il dialogo, la comunicazione tra genitori e figli
sono gli strumenti per riconoscere le emozioni e per saperle affrontare.
E infine, è il rosa il colore della tenerezza, dell’amore e dell’accoglienza:
ciò che serve ai bambini ogni volta che scoprono il mondo con il sorriso, lo
stupore e la curiosità che li distingue.
Cheerfulness, sadness, anger, fear and calm: each emotion has its
own colour. And for each colour, there are many shades as there are for
moods. But if you ask a child, yellow is the colour of cheerfulness, of
contagious energy that shines like the sun and sparkles like the stars.
Sadness is as blue as the sky at night or as the darkness of the sea with
the sound of the waves lulling your thoughts. Red ignites anger that
blazes like fire. Black is as scary as darkness. Calm returns with green,
which is synonymous with the peace, tranquillity and well-being one
feels in nature on a spring day. Every child carries these colours within
them and learns to distinguish and express them freely with the help
of adults. Storytelling, dialogue, and communication between parents
and children are the tools for recognising emotions and knowing how
to deal with them. And finally, pink is the colour of tenderness, love and
acceptance: what children need every time they discover the world with
a smile, wonder and curiosity.
