EXCLUSIVITY OF THE MATERIAL AND PARTICULARITY OF THE PROCESSING
In this composition, we introduce a new version of the Blade Lab program,
the Modulnova stone kitchen.
We have developed cutting-edge technologies to transform a traditionally
heavy material like stone, making it more suitable and functional.
We have managed to hollow out and lighten the stone doors, while still maintaining the
characteristics of stability, strength, and aesthetics of the material.
The Blade Lab stone door has a thickness of 1.5 cm, hollowed out and
lightened to allow for easier opening.
The material used is Pietra Santafiora*, in the SAND version, extracted for the first time and
previewed in our Blade Lab program.
The Sand variant, with its neutral tones, warms the environment with its refined and
exclusive beauty. It has polychrome effects, reassuring and infusing the warmth inherent in
the stone: its color tends towards sand, creating soft and natural designs
due to iron oxidation.
BOX 4_BLADE LAB/BLADE EDGE
The stone has been sandblasted (Raf processing) on the functional part of the countertop,
while the back panel of the Blade Edge bookcase features a vertical and textured finish.
The island features a 8 cm thick countertop and a protruding integrated back panel that
recreates a “boxed” effect, adding an interesting play of depth to the overall design.
The internal back panel in Brown Oak is recessed and inclined, creating an integrated
snack area on the island and facilitating seating placement.
*Pietra Santafiora, 100% Made in Italy, originated from a seabed 12 million years ago and is extracted
from the Manciano quarry in Tuscany. It is a high-quality stone, known for its technical characteristics
of hardness, compactness, and resistance to freezing, suitable for use in any climatic and
environmental condition, indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its technical and mechanical
characteristics, it is not affected by external agents such as smog, frost, acid rain, and salt spray. Pietra
Santafiora is eco-compatible and eco-sustainable; composed entirely of natural materials, it is 100%
recyclable.
A full-height Bilico (pivot) door leads to another room. The ‘Bilico’ system allows for the design of
compartment closures, creating a passage zone between rooms, hiding the passage while
maintaining aesthetic continuity with adjacent doors.
