DESIGN STUDIO PASTINA
Alla base del progetto c’è l’idea di disegnare un oggetto
essenziale sia nelle linee che nelle singole sezioni. Un
oggetto riassumibile in pochi tratti, ma allo stesso tempo
aperto, amichevole, un elemento d’arredo con cui si è
subito in sintonia.
L’elemento centrale del progetto è sicuramente il giunto
angolare, posto a 45° rispetto al piano, su cui convergono
la gamba e le due traverse. La semplicità, come è noto,
richiede uno sforzo in più ma ci ha portati ad ottenere un
oggetto lineare e ‘soft’ allo stesso tempo,
che si racconta in modo diverso a seconda del punto di
vista da cui lo si osserva.
Planum è un termine latino utilizzato per descrivere
altipiani, plateau o pianure più alte rispetto al terreno. Ci
piaceva l’idea di associare questo nome ad un elemento
d’arredo che all’interno del panorama domestico, offre
un ‘altopiano’ rispetto alla superfice su cui è collocato.
At the base of the project there is the idea of designing
an essential object both in its lines and in its individual
sections. An object that can be summarized in a few lines,
but at the same time open, friendly, a furnishing element
with which one is immediately in tune with. The central
element of the project is certainly the corner joint, placed
at 45° in relation to the surface, on which the leg and
the two crosspieces converge. Simplicity requires more
effort and at the same time has led us to obtain a linear
and 'soft' object, which is different depending on the
point of view from which it is observed. Planum is a Latin
term used to describe uplands, plateaus or plains higher
than the ground. We liked the idea of associating this
name with a piece of furniture which, within the domestic
environment, offers an ‘upland' compared to the surface
on which it is placed.
