Il progetto Cantle di Marco Lavit si arricchisce di una famiglia di tavolini disponibile
in tre dimensioni e diverse finiture: noce Canaletto, frassino nero e rovere sbiancato,
oltre a una laccatura lucida in diversi colori.
Lavit ha progettato la seduta Cantle nel 2024, a partire da un dettaglio iconico
che esalta la silhouette grafica e sofisticata del telaio in acciaio. Si tratta di una
staffa a “V”, a cui si ancorano sia il sedile che lo schienale, abbracciando il corpo e
determinandone la postura. Nella seduta, la staffa permette di ridurre il consumo
di materiale svuotando l’imbottitura nella parte posteriore dello schienale: un dettaglio
esaltato dal rivestimento double-face in cuoio e tessuto cuciti assieme, con savoir-
faire che evoca raffinatezze sartoriali. Ripresentato nel tavolino, dove crea un effetto
di sospensione, il dettaglio a “V” si conferma il trait d’union di tutta la collezione.
Marco Lavit’s Cantle project broadens with a family of coffee tables available
in three sizes and various finishes: Canaletto walnut, black ash, and bleached oak,
along with a glossy lacquer option in different colours.
Originally designed in 2024, the Cantle seat takes shape around an iconic
detail that accentuates the graphic and sophisticated silhouette of the steel frame.
The “V”-shaped bracket, to which both the seat and backrest are anchored,
embraces the body and defines its posture. This bracket optimises material use
by hollowing out the padding at the back of the backrest, a detail highlighted by
the double-sided upholstery made of leather and fabric sewn together, a savoir-faire
element that evokes sartorial refinement. The “V” detail reappears in the coffee
table, where it creates a suspended effect, reinforcing its role as the defining element
of the entire collection.
